About
Industry - NGO aiming at fitness & wellness.
The MVPA60HK Initiative, led by InspiringHK Sports Foundation, is dedicated to promoting physical activity among children and adolescents in Hong Kong. This initiative aligns with the World Health Organization’s recommendation that children and youth aged 5 to 17 should engage in at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) daily. With a clear and ambitious target, MVPA60HK aims to double the percentage of youth meeting this guideline by 2030, increasing from the current 8% to 16%. By addressing the growing concerns of sedentary lifestyles among young people, the initiative encourages parents, educators, corporate leaders, and the wider community to actively contribute to fostering a healthier, more active generation.
In addition to setting measurable goals, the initiative integrates public education campaigns, research studies, and community programs to track and improve youth activity levels. The flagship “SportsHour” campaign, launched in 2017, and the newly introduced “MVPA60HK Indicator” are key components of this mission. Together, these efforts aim to inspire systemic change, making physical activity a priority in schools, homes, and workplaces, and ultimately contributing to the better physical and mental well-being of Hong Kong’s youth.

Plan
Build a brand new website
The Flowtura team helped InspiringHK Sports Foundation to design and develop a dynamic, user-friendly website for MVPA60HK. The objective was to create a platform that effectively communicates the initiative’s mission, engages stakeholders, and motivates action to achieve the 2030 target of doubling youth participation in MVPA60.
The website features a vibrant design with bold visuals and impactful images of youth engaging in sports, reflecting the energy and inclusivity of the initiative. Key information about the “MVPA60HK Indicator” and related programs is prominently displayed, while intuitive navigation allows users to easily access sections like “SportsHour Family,” “SportsHour School,” and “SportsHour Company.”
A standout feature of the platform is the Youth Well-Being Calculator, an interactive tool that helps users assess physical activity levels and receive personalized recommendations. The site also includes a calendar of events, success stories, and a donation portal to encourage community engagement.
With its bilingual content and responsive design, the website ensures accessibility for all users, offering an optimal experience across devices. This platform now serves as a vital tool to promote youth physical activity and inspire systemic change across families, schools, and organizations in Hong Kong.

Effectiveness
The newly developed MVPA60HK website has proven to be an effective tool in driving awareness and engagement for the initiative. Its vibrant design and intuitive layout immediately capture visitors’ attention while ensuring ease of use for all demographics, including parents, educators, and corporate partners. The inclusion of the Youth Well-Being Calculator has been especially impactful, providing a practical and interactive resource for users to assess and improve physical activity levels among children and adolescents.
Since its launch, the website has successfully increased user engagement by offering clear calls to action, such as event participation, donations, and access to educational resources. The bilingual content (available in both English and Chinese) has broadened its reach, making it accessible to Hong Kong’s diverse audience. Additionally, the responsive design ensures that users on mobile, tablet, or desktop devices can seamlessly navigate and interact with the platform, further enhancing its usability.
Overall, the website has played a key role in advancing the goals of MVPA60HK by not only informing the public about the importance of achieving 60 minutes of daily physical activity but also inspiring actionable steps that contribute to the initiative’s 2030 target. It stands as a vital resource in fostering healthier, more active lifestyles for Hong Kong’s youth.
